Zambrero

Zambrero is a Mexican food chain with over 160 restaurants across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Ireland. They offer burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas and nachos. Zambrero is great for if you feel like a quick but tasty on the run meal! They are similar to Currito and Chipotle.

Their menu is very healthy, modern and fresh. Customers can customize their meal can accommodate their allergies or needs, gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan friendly.  They really go overboard filling your choice of meal, they really stuff it.  Zambrero makes your food right in front of you. All of the food you can add into your meal is freshly prepared right in front of your eyes.

I usually order either a bowl of nachos or a burrito bowl. Zambrero is probably my favourite Mexican place in Adelaide, it tastes so fresh and healthy. The burrito bowl is a good if you want to cut down on a little bit of carbs from the burrito wrap. I’ve had the burrito a few times but they fill it up so much it’s so hard to eat because the filling just keeps falling out of the wrap, I get so full towards the end of the burrito I have not yet successfully finished a whole one yet.

The setup of every restaurant is very nice. The staff are also very friendly but in my experiences some are really impatient for example, when you ask for more guacamole or more sour cream they would just sigh. In my opinion every Zambrero staff member makes your food differently from the others. Some would really make your money worth it whereas others just barley fill whatever you’re eating.

In the end I always just crave their food and end up coming back to this amazing place! I would totally recommend it for Mexican food lovers who have not yet tried Zambrero.
